Jenna Welch Bush (born November 25, 1981 in Dallas, Texas)[1] is an author and school teacher who is the daughter of U.S. President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush as well as the fraternal twin of Barbara Pierce Bush. Jenna and Barbara are known as the first First Twins both because they are the children of the U.S. President and because they are the first twin children of a sitting President. She is currently engaged[2] to her boyfriend of three years, Henry Hager, a former aide to Karl Rove and University of Virginia graduate student.

On August 15, 2007, Jenna became engaged to her boyfriend of two years, Henry Hager of Richmond, Virginia, whom she met during her father’s 2004 presidential campaign.[25] Their relationship became public when the two appeared together at a White House dinner for Prince Charles and Camilla, The Duchess of Cornwall in November 2005. Earlier that year, in February, Laura Bush had commented that Hager was not a “serious boyfriend” of Jenna’s.[8] After Hager was granted permission by President Bush to marry Jenna, Hager proposed to her on Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park in Maine.[26] [27][28][29] In January 2008, People Magazine stated that Jenna Bush and Henry Hager would hold their wedding service on May 10, 2008 at her parents’ Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, Texas.[30]

Hager (b. 1977) is currently a graduate student in business administration at the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia. A Wake Forest University graduate and a member of Kappa Alpha Order, Hager worked as a U.S. Department of Commerce aide for Carlos Gutierrez and as a White House aide for Karl Rove.[31] He is the son of Virginia Republican Party Chairman John H. Hager, who previously served as lieutenant governor of Virginia and as the U.S. Department of Education Assistant Secretary under George W. Bush.[32]
